Great day folks how you doing and uh welcome to another astro experience what an excellent night we have today it is staggeringly still quite clear so I thought i’d accept this open door to drive down to a major pink salt lake we have here in south australia uh i will and well I thought about attempting to recreate one of my pictures I shot several years prior which won an honor in the epson uh worldwide panos yet at whatever point you go out to an area conditions are consistently somewhat extraordinary and on the grounds that I came over here somewhat later than what i’d like it previously got truly dull so I couldn’t actually discover.
where I went um the last time however it’s consistently somewhat exhausting shooting something very similar again and again so i’ve chosen to uh to walk somewhat additionally down and i’ve run over this decent truly long pathway which drives me back towards the smooth way and all that is before me is simply still lake so we will and get some genuine pleasant reflection um with the smooth route above it and i will utilizing the star bold sky watcher star traveler 2i so the wi-fi uh adaptation for the its first um work vehicle pano so we’ll perceive how that goes yet the principal thing i will is set up my time slip by on the grounds that these folks realize the amount,
I love a period pass so we should get that set up and afterward we’ll walk right down that way um and get set up for the uh the nightscape OK so right now I have my um vanguard ultra expert uh v2 carbon fiber uh tripod which will be uh supporting my syrup genie small 2 dish and tilt head for my time pass and the primary thing i will is simply um simply level out the tripod so it’s quite level and the incredible thing about this mount here is it has this little bull um bull segment that you can move around so if your tripod legs aren’t exactly st sufficiently level and solid enough you can utilize this little uh ball head segment to uh simply level off your tripod somewhat more so’s something I do like about this tripod presently.
I have two of these um vanguard ultra ace v2 tripods one’s in aluminum the other and this present one’s the carbon fiber and frankly with you I think I favor the aluminum one more than the carbon fiber one carbon fiber one just appears to be a tad um a smidgen too uh feeble for reasons unknown so we’ll just re-level that uh indeed so um how about we keep setting this up so now i’m shooting this time pass with my nikon z5 and 20 mil uh 1.
8 s zed focal point um settings will work that in a moment however normally i’m some place around about the 25 second imprint for the introduction uh it’ll be f 1.8 and we’ll presumably be taking a gander at perhaps around about an iso of around 6400 so we should simply audit this time slip by I believe i’m truly content with that definitely wonderful now since i’m doing this all in camera i must ensure that i’m moving moderate enough that it won’t meddle the time pass a smidgen and i’ve done that a lot of times before in the past I realize I can take singular casings and afterward utilize a program like lrt time pass yet I need to attempt to do this in camera and not need to stress over doing all that altering of you know six seven 800 edges i’m certain possibly later on down the track.
I may do a tad of that yet for the time being i’m simply truly content with just uh simply doing what I can in camera and that is the thing that I appreciate doing so my record time will be about around three and a half hours and that gives it sufficient opportunity to simply gradually um skillet through without including an excess of obscure into the picture my span i will that down to about around 26 seconds i will for around 25 second time pass so we have that second in the middle of um shooting so’s alright there and now I believe we’re just about prepared to begin this so i’ll turn the camera on and we’ll set up the principal shot so 25 seconds iso 6400 i’m simply going to shoot this shot now and perceive.
what it looks like so we’ll kill the camera since that will meddle with the big deal uh sorry mood killer the light meddle with easy street and we’ll get everything set up so alright so ideally i’m not intruding on my time pass a lot with the measure of light sparkling upon me right presently to attempt to give you folks a video around evening time which is very testing uh right currently i have my 24 millimeter 1.
8 s zed focal point on my nikon z50 however in brief i must take that focal point off and put the old z50 unit focal point back on so ideally the image quality doesn’t get really awful yet here’s my other vanguard ultra ace v2 tripod this one here is the um the aluminum rendition and despite the fact that i’ve enlarged the legs out only somewhat more it’s significantly more durable than I might suspect than the carbon fiber form now the carbon fiber variant is uh it’s as yet an extraordinary tripod uh yet it’s um and it’s a ton and it you do see the weight distinction a piece yet I do I figure I do favor this one here and being out of salt lake i must ensure I give this one a decent spotless um a short time later yet we have the smooth route simply out to one side here and it is by all accounts making that wonderful curve that we as a whole love um going from south to north and i have this tad of landmass here that is really come out a smidgen so ideally when I swing around on my right side and my left we don’t see an excess of land and we have more uh delightful um quiet salt lake mirroring each one of those stars so i’m entirely eager to perceive how this picture closes winds up I do have a great deal of trucks and vehicles driving all through the scene.
it is a fundamental roadway here on the opposite side that props up towards uh port augusta so that sucks a tad yet um some of the time we just got to uh got the opportunity to picture in the conditions that that we can shoot in and there are different occasions where the lights from the vehicles and all that else like that can truly uh have an effect in the picture as well so i will the sky watcher star swashbuckler 2 out and fire setting that up OK so we’ve quite recently set up the skywatcherstar experience v2 and i have it generally polar adjusted to our south heavenly pole now with the nightscape like this i’m not stressing a lot over getting my polar arrangement exact on the grounds that we’re shooting with the 24 millimeter focal point so we can be a tad out and the stars can in any case be the stars will even now be pleasant and pinpoint and round so uh that is one of the preferences on the off chance that.
I was utilizing an any longer uh central length focal point or a telescope at that point that is when um things may get somewhat more troublesome polar adjusting particularly here in the southern half of the globe and for every one of those that polar adjust in the southern side of the equator these folks know precisely what i’m discussing shockingly we don’t have a brilliant star um like polaris in the in the north so it tends to be somewhat more trickier for us yet we fight away and we complete it so what i have is two profiles set up on my application one will for the night sky and the other one’s simply going to be for the frontal area and i’ve spared them under various profiles so my closer view profile will have no following at all and afterward my sky will have following on the grounds that clearly.
we need to shoot two unique kinds of pictures here a decent unmanaged adaptation for our forefront so it’s not hazy and afterward a followed form for our sky currently i will from left to directly in a scene design so I won’t shoot in uh representation mode simply scene forward the scene design from left to right and i will frontal area to sky since I despite everything need the smooth method to descend a tad lower so i will that time shooting my closer view and afterward once that is done i will back to the beginning and afterward shoot my smooth way my settings are f 2.
8 since I need only somewhat more keen of a picture we don’t generally need to stress a lot over attempting to get a handle on as much light as possible since it’s a farm hauler nightscape in addition to my frontal area pictures will be two moment uh introductions at an ice of 800.
so i will it uh low on the iso uh and that will lessen the measure of commotion and we’ll get considerably more honed and cleaner detail photo once we’re totally done good so uh i will breaking with this i will the light off and i’ll report back to these folks in a piece however appreciate the time pass [Music] well I mention to you what today around evening time was somewhat of a test um this is presumably one of the uh the hardest pictures i’ve needed to shoot so far today with nightscape and that is simply a result of the measure of trucks that are going down that parkway um beginning to back off a tad currently’s it’s about 12 PM uh so truly on the off chance that.
I need to return to this area again it would need to be possibly at some point one year from now and when the smooth route’s in the correct situation around three AM likely ideal be significantly less traffic passing by yet uh no doubt fingers crossed this picture turns out extraordinary the wi-fi on the sky watcher star experience is an outright paradise i’ve had the option to change those various profiles to go OK no following at very numerous introductions for my closer view at that point change to following an excessive number of presentations for my sky I completely love this adoration this gadget here well that about summarizes it so uh folks in the event that you’ve delighted in this video kindly remember to offer me a major go-ahead leave a remark let me recognize what you think about the picture and furthermore let me know whether you all uh shoot with a tracker yourself or whether you want to shoot only an ordinary rendition of a nightscape picture only a tick and you’re done it is getting somewhat late and i’m beginning to get somewhat loopy there OK folks well uh that summarizes it so until next time folks relax you.
